If you have tried to get tickets to a Broadway show in New York, you know how stressful it can be. But once a year, you can see established and rising Broadway artists perform for free in a concert live at the annual Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth, presented by the Broadway League. In addition to celebrating Juneteenth, the Broadway League pays homage to an honoree who has contributed to the Broadway community.
The honoree is a veteran performer, director, producer, and other worthy person(s) who have contributed their gifts to the Broadway community.

The Broadway League is a trade association of producers, owners, theatre managers, suppliers and others who present Broadway productions to NY and the USA. The League sponsors programs and events to make Broadway accessible and to make Broadway an high profile entertainment medium. One of those initiatives is their Black to Broadway program, dedicated to promoting Broadway to performers and audiences of color with the annual Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth event fulfilling that goal.

And the concert certainly delivers. Current Broadway artists, including singers, dancers, spoken word performers, musicians and background singers along with a director and crew present their gifts to a free audience live in Times Square on the Sunday before Juneteenth. Lasting approximately 90 minutes, it's one of the best free concerts you can see with professional performers.

So, celebrate Juneteenth and get a taste of the talents!
